Osman, Plasterer and Painter

I’m Osman. I’ve been plastering and painting for almost twenty years, and I do that work from Gorinchem now. Sterk Stukadoor means “strong plasterer” in Dutch, and that’s the name I work under. Almost twenty years as a plasterer and painter

Plastering and painting have been my trade for almost twenty years now. In that time I’ve worked on nearly every surface there is: brick, plasterboard, sand-lime block, concrete. I plaster walls and ceilings smooth, indoors and out, and I repair cracks, holes and water damage. Once a wall is smooth, I paint it too, so you don’t need to call in a different tradesman for every step. You can read more about exactly what that covers under what I do.

Small jobs alone, bigger jobs with a colleague

A crack, a ceiling, a bathroom wall: jobs like that I handle on my own. When it gets bigger, a whole house or a facade from scaffolding to finish, I bring one or more colleagues along. That keeps the pace up, even when a job runs to more than a few days’ work.

How I work

Neat, tidy and keeping to what’s agreed: that’s what customers tell me most often, and it’s exactly what I pay attention to myself. Before I start, I cover the floor and the furniture, and outside I tape off tiles or decking too. Once the job is finished, I clear everything away and sweep up. That way a job ends without you having to clean up after me.

Where you’ll find me

I work from Gorinchem, and from there across a wide region: the Alblasserwaard, Land van Altena, Vijfheerenlanden, the Drechtsteden, western and central Brabant, and the south of Utrecht. Customers who left me a review live in places including Breda, Tilburg, Nieuwegein and Rotterdam, so that’s work I’ve genuinely done in those areas too.
