Plasterer in Dordrecht:Plastering and Painting in the City and the Drechtsteden
I'm based in Gorinchem and work in Dordrecht and the Drechtsteden too, about 35 minutes' drive. Plastering, a repair or painting, I come out there just as easily as I do in Gorinchem itself.

Plastering and painting in Dordrecht and the Drechtsteden
I’m based in Gorinchem, and Dordrecht is well within my working area: about 39 kilometres away, roughly 35 minutes’ drive, a trip I make without a second thought for a good job. My company is called Sterk Stukadoor, Dutch for “strong plasterer”, and Osman, that’s me, is the tradesman who does the work. I’ve been plastering and painting for almost twenty years, and Dordrecht is the largest place near Gorinchem where that regularly takes me.
I come out to Dordrecht for all kinds of jobs: a wall that needs plastering again, a crack that keeps coming back, a facade overdue an update, or a room that needs painting once the plastering’s done. Send a photo of the job with the town you’re in, and I’ll tell you straight away if I can come out quickly. Just like in Gorinchem, I prefer to start with that photo: it shows me the job in one glance, and whether I need to look myself or the pictures tell me enough.
Plastering in Dordrecht: walls, ceilings and facades
Plastering is most of my work in Dordrecht, indoors and out. I plaster walls smooth and level, get ceilings flat and free of joints, and take on a facade that’s overdue a fresh render too. Whether it’s one wall in a living room, a bathroom that needs doing from scratch, or a ceiling around a roof light or a beam, I look first at what the surface underneath needs before a new layer goes on. A ceiling like that I plaster smooth in one go, so you won’t see a trace of it once it’s done.
Dordrecht has a real mix of housing, and that shows in the plastering work I do there. The city centre and Krispijn have plenty of 1930s houses, with walls and ceilings that are often due a new layer after all those years. Sterrenburg and Stadspolders are mostly 1970s builds, and Wilgenwende is new-build. Whatever the house, the approach starts with the same question: what’s the surface doing, and what does it need to stay flat and smooth for years to come.

Plaster repair in Dordrecht: cracks and older walls
It’s in the older parts of Dordrecht, with houses from the 1930s, that I most often get called out for a crack, a hole or plaster that’s coming loose. Houses like that have settled a bit more over the years, and it shows: a hairline crack that keeps coming back, or a spot that’s come loose after a leak. When it’s a job like that, I fix that section, not the whole wall, unless the rest of the wall is in poor shape too.
Not every crack is the same. A thin hairline crack you can often fill yourself, but a crack that keeps returning, or a hole left by an old pipe, needs the new layer to line up exactly with the rest of the wall, or the repair shows the moment light falls across it. Send a photo of the damage and I’ll tell you which category your job falls into.
Painter in Dordrecht
Alongside plastering, I paint indoors and out, in Dordrecht as much as in Gorinchem. Often the question is whether to leave a wall or ceiling paint-ready or fully painted, and I handle both as one job: plaster first, then painting, no need to plan in two different tradespeople.
I also get called out for painting jobs with no plastering involved: a bedroom or living room due a refresh, or the outside of the house needing a new coat after years of sun and rain. On outdoor work I always check the surface first, because paint on a poor surface never lasts.
A one-person business, sometimes with a colleague
I’m a sole trader, not a big company, and that’s how I work in Dordrecht too. Small jobs, like a repair or a single wall, I do alone. On a bigger job, like a whole house or a facade, I bring in one or more colleagues so it’s finished in one go. Either way, I’m your point of contact from the first photo to handover, no call centre in between: you message or call the person doing the job.
What clients around Dordrecht say
I’m regularly in and around Dordrecht, and the feedback I get there reads a lot like what customers in Gorinchem say: tidy, precise, and on schedule. Charelle in Strijen had six square metres of wall and a bathroom plastered:
“Super strak en snel! Voor een volgende klus neem ik zeker weer contact op.” Source: Charelle, Strijen (Werkspot review)
Gurtej in Klaaswaal had a hole or crack repaired:
“Super lieve man. Super eerlijk en duidelijk. Echt vakwerk. Eerlijke prijs. Komt afspraken na. Als je geen gedoe of hoofdpijn wilt, moet je Osman hebben.” Source: Gurtej, Klaaswaal (Werkspot review)
In Schiedam I plastered a living room ceiling for Michiel, and in Rotterdam I painted the bedrooms and living room for Milja:
“Very efficient and the result is great. Would recommend!” Source: Milja, Rotterdam (Werkspot review)
And in Zevenbergen, a colleague and I plastered a stairwell and part of the hallway for Patricia:
“Osman en zijn collega hebben een week geleden onze hal en trapgat gestuukt. Vriendelijke mensen die netjes werken. Zelfs buiten op straat de tegels afgeplakt. Alles ziet er mooi en strak uit. Reageerde ook snel en kon snel komen. Wij kunnen Osman zeker aanbevelen. Ik heb Osman na afloop niet meer gezien en wil hem nog bedanken voor het mooie stucwerk!” Source: Patricia van zomeren, Zevenbergen (Werkspot review)

Working in Dordrecht and the wider region
Dordrecht isn’t the only place outside Gorinchem where I work. My working area runs from the Drechtsteden to Brabant and the southern part of Utrecht, and I’ve been doing this work for almost twenty years, in Gorinchem and the region around it. Not sure whether your part of Dordrecht counts, older neighbourhood or new? It does: I come to every part of the city, and the distance from Gorinchem doesn’t change that.
