I’m based in Gorinchem, and Dordrecht is well within my working area. My company is called Sterk Stukadoor, Dutch for “strong plasterer”, and Osman, that’s me, is the tradesman who does the work. I’ve been plastering and painting for almost twenty years.

Plastering in Dordrecht: walls, ceilings and facades

Plastering is most of my work, indoors and out. I plaster walls smooth and level, get ceilings flat and free of joints, and take on a facade that’s overdue a fresh render too. Whether it’s one wall in a living room, a bathroom that needs doing from scratch, or a ceiling around a roof light or a beam, I look first at what the surface underneath needs before a new layer goes on. A ceiling like that I plaster smooth in one go, so you won’t see a trace of it once it’s done.

Plaster repair in Dordrecht: cracks and older walls

A crack, a hole or plaster that’s coming loose: think of a hairline crack that keeps coming back, or a spot that’s come loose after a leak. When it’s a job like that, I fix that section, not the whole wall, unless the rest of the wall is in poor shape too.

Not every crack is the same. A thin hairline crack you can often fill yourself, but a crack that keeps returning, or a hole left by an old pipe, needs the new layer to line up exactly with the rest of the wall, or the repair shows the moment light falls across it. Alongside plastering, I paint, indoors and out. Often the question is whether to leave a wall or ceiling paint-ready or fully painted, and I handle both as one job: plaster first, then painting, no need to plan in two different tradespeople.

You can also ask me for painting jobs with no plastering involved: a bedroom or living room due a refresh, or the outside of the house needing a new coat after years of sun and rain. On outdoor work I always check the surface first, because paint on a poor surface never lasts.

A one-person business, sometimes with a colleague

I’m a sole trader, not a big company, and that’s how I work in Dordrecht too. Small jobs, like a repair or a single wall, I do alone. On a bigger job, like a whole house or a facade, I bring in one or more colleagues so it’s finished in one go. Either way, I’m your point of contact from the first photo to handover: you message or call the person doing the job.
